I’d recommend the island of Kerkyra. The main city of Korfu is very modern, nightlife and shopping, but there are lots of smaller towns, that have small mostly just local beaches. There’s also a huge Waterpark. And you can get around just by bus.

I’ve never been to Greece, but any island you end up going should have all the necessities you look for.

Get your travel agent to give you a dvd to watch or some video. They have this and it is helpful. Then choose.

Since Corfu has already been mentioned I would suggest the place of Sidari as it has the sandy beaches and the night life you are seek. It is also less crowded and rowdy as Kavos.

kerkyra (corfu), as mentioned before is one of the, if not THE most beautiful islands in greece. i was there in september and was kicking myself for not planning ahead of time and not staying there longer. good nightlife, decent prices, lots of great hotels, not overcrowded, very friendly people, and RIDICULOUSLY BEAUTIFUL scenery and architecture…my jaw dropped when i was walking around corfu town. i definitely plan on going back.

mykonos is ok (i go there all the time im in greece), but honestly its expensive and the nightlife isnt its all its cracked up to be (but im from new york, so not many places can compare). if youre into ‘the scene’ and have lots of cash to spend, check it out.

Like I always say, as long as you are in Greece you will have the best time especially during the summer. Among the islands, even though all are unique and beautiful, I recommend Skiathos. It’s a small island in the Aegean, quite popular among tourists from all over the globe, so it gets busy during the summer. You can enjoy more than 60 different beaches there, each of which has its own distinctive ‘character’ – from organized cosmopolitan beaches, to the more secluded and quiet ones. The amazing thing about Skiathos is the trees reaching the seashore- a combination that produces a magnificent green and blue effect. About the nightlife, there are many many restaurants including international cuisine, traditional tavernas, snackbars, beachbars, cafeterias, bars, and of course many nightclubs to choose from depending on your taste of music. Look it up online if you want, there are lots of websites with photos and videos as well as reviews on the island. To me it’s a little piece of paradise, and I think it will be a good choice for you as well.
