    @indrimwell ive owned the ktm about 1 year after it came out, and the kx250f i bought about a month ago for 1700 with almost no hours on it, brand new condition and everything, i only go trails with the ktm and the kawasaki i take to the track and places such as apex, i live in las vegas so of course everything out here is friggin expensive, as long as its under my name i should be ok correct? and just to make sure im not registering it to make it street legal?

    @loopyboopoo1 just to clarify. My friends rode for years without registering their quads, but once we went to the dunes, they did. It’s not worth enforcing areas that see only a few riders a week.

    @loopyboopoo1 Most of them go into the grab bar.

    Yeah, take the bill of sale or title to the DMV. They’ll give you stickers that you put on the quad/bike. If you never ride on popular public lands, you’ll never likely need registration; but they can ticket you if they catch ya.

    When you register it, you’ll have to pay sales tax. The lower price you paid, the less it costs to get it registered. I had a bike that I didnt register for years, just told them I paid $200 for it, they dont care.

    @indrim
    thank you for your help, i cant tell wether to put the flag on a bolt holder or screw into my rear fender
    i race alot at the track so alot of people is nothing especially when you have some that actually jump over you once or twice. and then to register it it, do i take it to the DMV? or do i just have to have all the papers in my name? because i already have it listed that im the current owner

    @loopyboopoo1 you’ll want to have it registered if you take it out. The rangers will ticket you. Insurance is personal preference. Always have a whip flag.

    Have fun, and don’t go on a holiday if it’s your first time. Easiest way to get run over :X
    Not implying that you will make a mistake, just that there are so many people everywhere, that you can get hit much more easily. Learn the grounds first on a slow weekend or two.

    @breezyatv90 The Dunes are 10 minutes from Base…Glamis is 45 min drive though to the north end of the dunes. You can see them from town :) I was fortunate to be based out here and now get to enjoy Glamis>
